What Price Will Hyperliquid Hit in 2026? Polymarket Odds, Rules & PredictBoy Analysis

By PredictBoy — Hyperliquid’s HYPE token is trading around the high-$80s at this research snapshot, but the Polymarket event is not asking where HYPE will close on December 31. It is a ladder of separate, non-exclusive threshold markets. Each contract can resolve Yes if a qualifying Binance Futures HYPE/USDT one-minute candle prints a final High or Low through the stated level during that contract’s valid window.

That means a one-minute wick can matter more than the year-end closing price. Several upside thresholds can resolve Yes during one rally, and one later selloff can also resolve downside thresholds. The percentages below are therefore best read as market-implied touch probabilities, not a single mutually exclusive forecast distribution.

What This Polymarket Market Asks

The current unresolved ladder prominently includes upside contracts at $100, $110, $120, $130, $140, $150 and $200, plus downside contracts including $75, $70, $65, $60, $50, $40, $30, $20, $16, $12 and $8. Some lower upside thresholds are already separated under Polymarket’s resolved view, so this article focuses on the unresolved levels visible in the live ladder at the snapshot.

Because the contracts are non-exclusive, a move to $130 could resolve the $100, $110, $120 and $130 upside markets Yes if each relevant market was already open and the qualifying Binance one-minute High crossed the level. The same logic applies to the downside ladder.

Resolution Rules and What Counts

  • Resolution venue: Binance Futures HYPE/USDT.
  • Timeframe: 1m one-minute candles.
  • Upside: a final one-minute candle High equal to or above the listed threshold resolves Yes.
  • Downside: a final one-minute candle Low equal to or below the listed threshold resolves Yes.
  • Deadline: qualifying price action runs through 11:59 PM ET on December 31, 2026.
  • Creation-time rule: price action before an individual contract was created does not count for that contract.
  • Other prices: prices from other exchanges, different pairs or spot markets do not determine resolution.
Resolution risk to remember: an external price chart is useful context, but only Binance Futures HYPE/USDT one-minute High/Low data settle these contracts. A historical high that occurred before a particular submarket opened also cannot be back-counted.

The event shows roughly $2.457M total volume. The deepest activity is concentrated in a few contracts — notably the $100 upside market — while some more distant thresholds are much thinner. Headline percentages are useful signals, but current buy/sell quotes and executable depth can differ materially.

Main Outcomes

↑ $100 — the nearest major unresolved upside level

With external HYPE references near $89, a $100 touch requires only about 12% upside. That is also only modestly above recent record prices around $98. This is why the market gives $100 the strongest unresolved upside probability, currently about 68%.

↑ $110 and ↑ $120 — continuation rather than simple retest

$110 requires roughly 24% upside from the reference price, while $120 needs about 35%. Those moves are feasible for a high-beta crypto asset, but they demand more than a simple retest of the recent all-time-high zone. Continued protocol activity, favorable market beta and sustained demand for HYPE would matter more here.

↑ $150 and ↑ $200 — tail re-rating scenarios

$150 is about 69% above the reference price and $200 requires roughly 125% upside. Hyperliquid’s fee engine and adoption make these levels analytically relevant, but their probabilities depend on a substantial late-year re-rating rather than ordinary volatility.

↓ $75 and ↓ $70 — the meaningful downside branch

A move to $75 is about 16% below the reference price; $70 is roughly 21% lower. Those distances are small enough that a broad crypto drawdown, leverage unwind or token-specific supply shock could produce them quickly. The market’s 58% probability for $75 shows traders view a downside test as entirely plausible even while upside thresholds also remain live.

Key Factors

Primary factors

  • Distance to threshold: $100 is much closer to current HYPE than the $120–$200 tail.
  • Protocol fee and burn mechanics: Hyperliquid Docs say fees flow to community mechanisms and the Assistance Fund programmatically converts fees to HYPE and burns it.
  • Activity and open interest: CoinGecko shows large perps open interest and TVL, evidence that the venue remains economically significant.
  • Token supply: CoinGecko lists a 9.92M HYPE unlock on October 6, a material near-term supply event relative to circulating supply.

Secondary factors

  • Broad Bitcoin and altcoin risk appetite.
  • Leverage and liquidation cascades that create one-minute wicks.
  • HyperEVM and builder adoption.
  • Competition from centralized and decentralized derivatives venues.
  • Regulatory headlines and exchange-access changes.

Weighted Outcome Comparison

This framework scores whether each selected threshold is supported by the evidence. A score of 10 means the factor strongly supports that threshold being touched before year-end. The weighted score is not a probability.

Weighted totals: ↑ $100 7.75/10, ↑ $120 6.60/10, ↑ $150 5.55/10, and ↓ $75 5.25/10. The $100 scenario leads because it combines the shortest distance with supportive protocol economics, while $75 remains credible because crypto drawdowns and unlock pressure can create fast downside wicks.

Hyperliquid Evidence Analysis

Protocol economics remain unusually important

Hyperliquid’s own documentation says more than $1 billion in annualized fees go toward programmatically buying back HYPE, while the fee documentation states the Assistance Fund automatically converts trading fees into HYPE and burns the acquired tokens. That creates a direct link between trading activity and token demand/supply reduction.

The platform is still operating at meaningful scale

CoinGecko’s current snapshot shows roughly $7.3B TVL and about $4.4B in perpetuals open interest. Those are not guarantees of higher token prices, but they show the protocol has substantial capital and derivatives activity rather than relying only on narrative.

Supply can interrupt the bullish feedback loop

CoinGecko lists a scheduled unlock of 9.92M HYPE on October 6. Against CoinGecko’s roughly 222M circulating supply snapshot, that is about 4.5% of circulating supply. Unlock does not mean every token is immediately sold, but it is large enough to matter for positioning, liquidity and volatility.

Current price is already close to recent records

External HYPE references are around the high-$80s to low-$90s, while recent all-time-high references sit around $98. That makes $100 a modest extension, but it also means part of the bullish narrative is already reflected in the current price. Moving from $100 to $120 or $150 requires progressively more valuation expansion.

What the Market May Be Underestimating

The first underappreciated feature is path dependence. These are touch contracts. HYPE does not need to hold $100, $120 or $75 for long; a qualifying one-minute wick is enough. That can make both upside and downside contracts look simultaneously expensive without being logically inconsistent.

The second is contract liquidity. A percentage shown on a thin threshold can move sharply if a few orders enter or leave. The $100 market has much deeper lifetime volume than several distant thresholds, so apparent precision should not be treated equally across the ladder.

The third is the October unlock. If the market absorbs the unlock smoothly while protocol fees and trading activity stay strong, the bullish case strengthens. If liquidity weakens or unlock-related selling combines with a broad crypto drawdown, downside thresholds can resolve before the protocol’s longer-term fundamentals matter.

Bull and Bear Case for Major Outcomes

Bull case

  • HYPE retests the recent record and crosses $100 with only modest additional upside.
  • High trading activity sustains fee-funded HYPE demand and burns.
  • HyperEVM, builders and broader onchain-finance adoption expand the addressable market.
  • A risk-on crypto regime carries HYPE through $110–$120 and possibly higher.

Bear case

  • The October unlock increases available supply or reduces willingness to chase the token.
  • High open interest amplifies a liquidation cascade.
  • Crypto beta turns negative and HYPE revisits $75–$70 quickly.
  • Competition, regulation or a protocol-specific incident reduces volume and weakens fee-driven token demand.

Risks and Uncertainties

  • Price-source risk: only Binance Futures HYPE/USDT one-minute candles count.
  • Timing risk: each submarket has its own creation time and earlier price action is excluded.
  • Liquidity risk: thinner contracts can display unstable or wide quotes.
  • Unlock risk: scheduled supply does not equal immediate selling, but it can change positioning.
  • Leverage risk: high open interest can create both upside squeezes and downside cascades.
  • Crypto-market risk: protocol fundamentals may be overwhelmed by a broad market move.

PredictBoy Probability Assessment

PredictBoy analysis, not fact: because these thresholds are non-exclusive, the following probabilities are not intended to sum to 100%.

My biggest disagreement is on the near downside ladder: the market prices a much higher chance of a $75 or $70 touch than my base framework. That difference is not proof the market is wrong; it reflects how strongly Polymarket traders price path volatility, the token unlock and crypto drawdown risk.

What Could Change Before Resolution

  • The October 6 unlock and how quickly the market absorbs any associated supply.
  • A decisive break above the recent ~$98 record zone, which would reprice $100–$120 rapidly.
  • Changes in Hyperliquid volumes, fees, open interest and TVL.
  • New HyperEVM, HIP or builder launches that materially expand usage.
  • Broad Bitcoin/altcoin market direction into Q4.
  • A leverage-driven liquidation or squeeze that produces a one-minute threshold wick.

Final Take

PredictBoy analysis: $100 is the most compelling unresolved upside threshold because it sits only modestly above both the current reference price and the recent record zone. The path to $110–$120 is plausible but requires more sustained momentum, while $150–$200 remain tail scenarios. On the downside, I assign less probability than Polymarket to $75 and $70, but I would not dismiss them because the October unlock and high leverage can create sharp one-minute moves. The key mechanical point remains the same: this market resolves from Binance Futures HYPE/USDT one-minute High/Low data, not from a year-end close.
